I bought Introducing Joss Stone last night. I can’t give a real review just yet - I need to live with my music for a while before I can form an opinion on it. Plus, a lot of times I get caught up on one track for some reason or other, and I don’t really take in the album as a whole until I’ve exhausted my obsession and I’m ready to move on.
On this album, that track is called “Music”.
The song itself is nothing remarkable. A nice, straightforward neo-soul track about Joss’s love for music. One might even say that the music-as-lover metaphor is overused. So what elevates this track beyond the mundane?

I need one of those accounts…where you can post random stuff you see on the Internets and find interesting/entertaining. And I need to write an actual blog post.
1. During lunch today, a ladybug flew down my shirt. I’m sure the bus that just had to be sitting right at the corner got quite the eyeful of me digging between my boobs.
2. Excuse my french, but where the fuck did all of these kids come from???
3. The group of guys that lives across the street from me is back on their stoop, trying to holla.
4. I heard my first ice cream truck today.
5. I also heard the first dirt bike going down my street.
